Research Process is amazing in SBI

The biggest problem I see with online start-ups is poor research which results in poorer planning. So you know where I'm coming from, I wrote the book Planning Your Internet Marketing Strategy (John Wiley, 2001).

The fatal flaw that most people make is that they decide how to make money online before they've done the research to find a profitable niche.

One of the things I like best about SBI is the careful research process that they lead you through. Plus, they give you excellent tools -- all included in the annual fee.

I wrote The Research Guide on Online Niche-Finding (Wilson Internet, 2005, now out-of-print) where I studied and reviewed all the niche-finding software out there. I concluded that SBI's "Brainstorm It!" module is one of the finest tools of its kind anywhere. And they keep improving it.

Brainstorm It! is constantly updated with fresh, accurate data to help you assess both demand for products and services online and how steep the competition actually is in each specific area.

Careful research is the foundation of a business. If you've done this right, you business can build each month solidly until it's doing very well.

If you fail to research carefully, or don't research at all, it's like building a house on a foundation of sand. It goes up faster, but it will inevitably fall.

Ultimately, the make-a-quick-buck approach to online business will fail. The hype-filled rhetoric of selling pre-packaged online business is a recipe for disaster.

What you need is someone honest, who doesn't tell you what you want to hear, but what you need to hear. So let me talk about honesty for a moment....
